Sometimes being (Transgender)* TG is
like being on an Island. Nowhere to go, no one to
confide in, feeling like there is nothing to do in life.
For some there is CGS, Tri-ess, or T.O.N.I. (see
Support Groups).
The business meetings, social events, and night outs. These are wonderful
opportunities for the girls on the north side, but a long drive for the
girls down south.
The south side girls now have an additional place to hang their dress or
pants.
The first Wednesday of every month starting at 8:30 p.m., Club Krave (formerly The
Edge (in
Blue
Island
))
caters to the girls. There is an open pool table, friendly bartender, and
plenty of songs on the jukebox with an open dance floor for
everyone’s enjoyment. Our past meetings have had anywhere from 6 in
the beginning, to a record high 110 ladies in attendance.

We have a short meeting to bring
everyone up to date on Island Girls and any other happenings that month,
and future functions. The rest of the night is left for everyone to
have a place to converse, or generally have a good time. All are welcome,
